As much as percussion player Jonathan Jakshøj is fascinated by the organism that a symphony orchestra is and by the role as percussionist in such an ensemble his heart also beats for contemporary chamber and solo music.

Having a broad knowledge about and skills on all standard percussion instruments and many of those not so standard he uses his talent in The Royal Danish Orchestra, where he’s on trial, as well as in the Trio Spell with pianist Lea Han and clarinetist Jonas Frølund. Jonathan has studied in Copenhagen, Odense and Paris and has collaborated with the world leading Ensemble Intercontemporain.
